Freelance Writing: Phase 3: Thinking Like a Business
The next phase we’re going to look at is getting yourself out there.
But first, let’s cover some of the things you need to get in line before you get started.
I talked about how you need to think like a business at the start of the blueprint, and this is where part of that comes into action.
So we’re going to focus on more of the technical side of things. What you need to have in place to start.
Namely, we’re going to focus on how to set your rates (and get paid) and how to protect yourself as well as some red flags to watch out for as you get out there.
Hopefully, having an understanding of the business side of writing before you get into it will help it seem not quite as scary as you get started.
